The Late Risers band was formed by UK songwriter William Oldham to present his songs and indulge in his love of all styles of music - blues, country, folk, rock, soul, reggae, bluegrass and oldtime, funk , world and jazz. Will has played all this music in various bands over the last 35 years, clocking up over a thousand gigs.

The Later Risers are all acoustic and the current lineup includes myself on guitar and vocals, fellow local legend Richard Keys on harmonicas, and the brilliant Michelina Craft on Banjo in her first band! plus our favorite double bass player Jules Young.

Lazy Day, the Late Risers first album, was released Laterising Records,in August, 2005, and is available for £8 inc postage (UK). Lazy Day features 12 tracks of great songs and hot picking and blowing, with guest fiddler Marek Miczyk adding his magic. Thanks to Gareth at Zigzag Productions for the great sound.

Congratulations to Michelina who has had a baby boy - Mansell Lewis. She will be still trying to make the gigs, subject to baby demands!

The Late Risers hope to return to the recording studio this autumn - there should be a new CD out before Christmas......
